The Watchmen movie rocked! It was overall very faithful to the graphic novel, had great effects, and though over 2 hours and 40 minutes long it never seemed to drag. I definitely recommend it!

I watched it this past friday (guam time)... I usually don't go for the comic based movies, but this is one that I could really sink my teeth into.. For once I didn't get up and walk out or fall asleep due to boredom.. It was most definitely a good movie and it rocked

One thing I would recommend when you go to this movie.. Don't take your kids, one of our local radio personalities took his kids to it and all he talked about for 2 days was how big some of the human anatomy parts of Dr. Manhattan was.. He said he saw it on one of the big screen theaters here and his daughter had to cover the younger brother's eyes due to the shock of seeing that part of the Human anatomy when Dr.Manhattan went giantsized and started killing off the enemy soldiers of the action depicted in that part of the movie.. Another thing he kept bring up was when Dr. Manhattan split himself while "visiting" his female partner.. I'll leave it at that.. It was a good movie and I would most definitely see it again.

It's only for later teens. Sex, nudity, violence, gore...it's not a kids' superhero movie.

What? No mention of Nite Owl and Silk Specter? Obviously someone who never read the comic.

never saw or read the comic, I am more of a old school comic reader.. But I work with the department of defense and that in itself is a comic show every day I go to work.. Not much time for comic reading, The first video edition of a comic book I saw was V for Vendetta.. First time in 45 yrs I actually watched something closely resembling a comic book, unless you are talking about some of our manuals which are the basis of some of our training and this stuff is 22 yrs old

Both of them are seen both in and, uh, out of costume in the movie.

I worked for the DoD for 5 years and I follow your drift!

Watchmen is by the same author!

Yeah, that's what I meant. The radio guy was all about talking about Dr. Manhattan's winky, but no mention of either Nite Owl or Silk Specter.

Speaking of old school comic. The whole Watchmen story was supposed to be told with heroes DC acquired when it bought out another company, but DC asked that Moore come up with original characters because the story would leave many of the characters unusable for future books.

Shaun, Just make sure you take a couple of cigarettes with you to smoke after all the sexual innuendos that are openly displayed in this movie.. It most definitely ranks (in some people's opinion) as being close to a porn movie.. This is their opinion, not mine..

It's 3 hours long... After hearing that I'm waiting for the DVD or Blu-Ray to come out... No way I'm seating in a big, dark, room, on some cheap, used up folding-chair that smells like cigarettes and soda that God only knows what people have done on it after how many years of use for 3 hours and cough up over $20 for a ticket and snacks...

Lol.That heady mix of violence, explicit scenes and devil may care attitude, sounds great.

In all seriousness, hopefully the balance in the movie is right.I saw a short clip on the making of the movie recently and it was obvious that the actors had a great time filming it.

I loved this movie, keen to see it again. Definitely for mature audiences only.

Why would any parents would take their young children to see it? Do age ratings not mean anything?
