Premiered yesterday, 2 hours long. Features techniques, philosophies and psychology of swordmanship and warfare. It contains footage from epic samurai films, re-enactments and animated sequences of Mushashi's life and duels. :sword2:

For those who missed it, the program plays again this Saturday. -highly recommended

I caught a few minutes here and there and from what I saw it looked pretty good.
However, I could not help thinking why did they not get someone who has a back ground
in Japanese martial arts to do the narrating. Instead unfortunately they got Dacoscas. :(

I think Dacoscas did a fine job. His martial arts background is extensive enough and he's part Japanese I believe he even mentions that his family there was killed in one of the A bomb attacks.

He could have picked up the pace. It would have made a good hour as far as knowledge. I didn't care to see him working out or his whole philosophy because he is prmarily a kung fu specialist. He has little knowledge on the Japanese arts. His philosophy and exploration as a neophyte in the arts held through the whole program. I think he should have stuck to Iron Chef. It just seemed like he was looking for air time.

    Not a fan at all.
