Is Balintawak the only Eskrima style that focuses on random based training ? And why drills are not trained extensively like other styles ?

I would doubt that there are many styles of martial arts in general that don't have 'random attack' type of training.

Maybe it's because at the beginner level, the student is generally taught 1 block 1 counter. So the feeder is able to go very fast since the beginner isn't taught a plethora of defenses from the start.

The 'random based training' you speak of maybe just starts sooner than other styles.

I know for a fact that the same type of training is also used in Arnis Koredas, but then, the founder, Andres Gomban, did train with Anciong Bacon at one point. However, among non-related styles, Lightning Scientific Arnis has the drill called Bigay Tama, which essentially is a random drill, only not done in corto range.
