Thanks I'm pretty motivated in learning an art with weapens. So with some dedication I hope I will be fine.
How do you guy's think about blending this art with Wing Chun?

One of my students has a strong WC background, and felt that the Pekiti footwork and emphasis on flanking helped him alot on closing with the opponent. He also ran into a couple of different habits on his trapping that he had to change because of the difference in assumption of the knife versus empty hand, but he thought they were very complementary. "Escrima" is a pretty broad term and may be more or less compatable depending on the system.

I hope it will blend with my Wing Chun. (Still training 2 times a week)
For what I've seen is that the footwork is totally different. But that was also the problem with Wing Chun when I've started it.
Only time will tell, if there is one thing I can allready say. I've love the things I've seen for now.
    :)
