Our special guest this week will again be one of our hosts, Guro John Bednarski. We will be discussing Dekiti Tirsia Seradas and other bladed arts such as Bahad Zubu and Kali Ilustrisimo. Interview to be followed by current FMA related news, products, media updates, ect. Guro Federico will explain the difference between authentic antique Filipino weapons and "tourist" blades. Wrapping the show up will be a Live Q&A where you can chat with Guro John and the rest of the panel with your questions. This is mean to be a casual show to promote the FMA's in general.

All listeners will be automatically muted to ensure we have a clear recording. We will record all shows and post them to this website and as a podcast for those who can not be on the call. To be added to the Q&A queue please press *6 when we start the Q&A session and you will be added to the queue.

I am not sure if I am able to return home in time for this, so I would just like to post this question...

I just started training in eskrima/kali/arnis/FMA this year with a local guro I train with weekly. However, through various books on different styles and Internet sources that are not always reliable, it is so easy to get confused and "learn" things out of context. So for us beginners and maybe even outsiders who are all still figuring out the right end of the stick, is there such a thing as understanding the art "too fast" or "the wrong way"?

I thoroughly enjoyed episode 1 and I look forward to every episode all the way to 1000! God bless. - Ryan
