    can you use the exact flow of knife versus knife drill in empty hand?

    Yes you can. All you have to do is adapt, where the slice could be a punch, elbow or a break.

    It is like language translations. If someone says something in one language and wants it 'translated' to another, it is impossible to 'translate' each word in proper contexts and in the same feeling of the sentence, and so on. It can only be 'interpreted' to another language. So if you want to use the same 'flow' or 'methodology' etc, from stick or knife or whatever, you have to 'interpret' all of that to 'empty hand' or sword or whatever. ...'Interpret'. ( Yes i know both words are very synonymous. However, in American English these words have 'baggage'. And 'Interpret' is more appropriate for my analogy )
