Greetings All-- Last months seminar dealing with the first set of the Seguidas went very well and all the participants had the opportunity to both see the underlying concepts of that particular set and practice the specific exemplars within the curricular form. May's seminar deals with the 2nd set of the Seguidas, which finds the practitioner bridging medium range into close range, which requires some footwork (as always) and some examples of how the alive hand comes into play within the engagement (and within this set, it is largely seen as checking/controlling...as opposed to Recontras Set Three in which one sees the alive hand as largely an offensive weapon in conjunction with the stick/sword). As always, I look forward to new participants who are intrepid enough to see what these blocks of curriculum are about. Best, Jack A. Don't forget to check out PTI's Summer Camp in order to study with Tuhon Bill and train alongside other practitioners of varying backgrounds.
