[IMG] This photo was taken during WW2 in US army camps in the Philippines. This is the same way we train, once learned, replace the stick with steel. Once mastered, replace the steel with a live blade. Caution, you will be cut on one careless move. Do not make this practice unless you have done the training. See our list of DVDs for more details, and practice methods I share at http://KaliSilat.org Thank you.

Ok, we finally got something done, thanks for your help, keep practicing, after 37 years and several trips to the Philippines, and helping grand master tortal, as a matter of fact I took the picture he uses here. It's great to see him still going strong, I remember the time we were together in Bacolod. What a great and talented guy he is. I was glad to provide seminars for him around the states back in the 90's. Warm regards to everyone, never stop, was his motto, as is Grand Master Canete as well. These are the teachers with knowledge of a hundreds of years.

I didn't know you were a member here. I welcome you to this site and am glad to see you here. I am teaching the style of Imua Tamaraw which comes from the Canolito family from Cebu thru Master Glenn Abrescy, who now calls what teaches the Abrescy Method. You might not remember me, I met you in Dallas in 91 at the wekaf tournement. I have been on the IC list for some time now, I never been able to travel to any workshops. I have compared what I learned in Imua Tamaraw to all other styles since 1976 up til 2003 and find it is different in its teaching methods. I suppose that is what I like about it. One thing is for sure with practice you can discover. Peace be with you, keep up your great work, Joel
